Parker Classic Grain d'Orge fountain pen, 22k gold-plated, made in France in 1986, length 136 mm, diameter 9 mm, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Rare Parker Classic Grain d'Orge fountain pen – 22k Gold Plated – First Production Year (1986) – Made in France
A very elegant and rare Parker Classic fountain pen in the exclusive Grain d'Orge (barleycorn) pattern.
This luxury 22-carat gold-plated pen was produced in the renowned Parker factory in Meru, France, and is in nice cosmetic condition.
Thanks to the date code 'YCG' on the cap band, we can date this pen exactly to the second quarter of 1986. 1986 was the best introduction year for the fountain-pen variant within the Classic line.
Please look closely at the photos for its condition: the pen is in nice (not perfect) condition. The nib is in good shape and writes as it should.
The cap lip sits a little higher, and on top of the cap (the tassie) the decorative outer metal cap plate is missing, causing the little depression to sit a bit deeper than original. The cap, however, is fully closed (no hole) and functions perfectly from a technical standpoint.
The pen is well-packaged and shipped insured.
