Edoardo Cicchetti - Plasmati - 182E4982 - XL

Photographic work of the Plasmati series (2007–2010), made by photographing directly the television screen. Pixels, RGB matrix, reflections and optical distortions transform the television image into an autonomous composition, between figuration and abstraction.

The original print from 2009 belongs to the historical core of the Plasmati/Nuoce project, presented at the Ugo Ferranti Gallery in Rome in 2009.

The image 182E4982 is published in the volume Plasmati (Edizioni del Giano, 2009), dedicated to the project and to its visual research.

The work presents some small abrasions and superficial imperfections, of the order of a few millimeters, due to its age and its exhibition history. The marks, documented in the photos of the lot, are visible only up close and do not compromise the overall reading of the image.
