Horst Einfinger - FRAGMENT

Horst Einfinger is a German photographer who is active in Belgium. Born in 1936. He has been involved with photography for 70 years already. In 2022 he received the German photographic distinction from the DVF. Eifinger has a pronounced interest in architecture, geometric forms and the interplay between light and dark. He draws inspiration from remarkable buildings and architectural elements, where the simplicity of a form is more important than the subject itself. His oeuvre includes both black-and-white photography and color. He uses color only when it adds value to the image. Silence, simplicity and thoughtful composition are recurring features of his work. Some photographs gain their texture, lighting effects and abstract character, even the look of a painting.
