The barrel and cap are crafted in the traditional deep black precious resin, mirror-polished to create a magnificent and timeless contrast with the bright yellow-gold plated finishes. We find the classic droplet clip and the three iconic institutional rings, of which the central, thicker one bears the brand’s engraving. Crowning the cap’s summit is the unmistakable emblem of the white Montblanc star.

From a technical standpoint, the unit is configured for liquid ink writing (Rollerball). The cap, equipped with a secure screw closure, protects the nib and can be conveniently screwed onto the end during use. As extensively documented by the photographs showing the pen disassembled, this model uses the specific LeGrand Rollerball refills: unlike standard formats, the LeGrand refill has its own front threading and screws firmly into the grip section, ensuring absolute stability of the nib during writing.
