Description from the seller
The Parker 105 Flighter was launched in 1980 and was discontinued in 1982, a very short production run for Parker, but good news for collectors. This pen carries a date code corresponding to the first quarter of 1981.
The Parker 105, available in Flighter finishes of brushed steel and gold-filled, was very different from Parker's previous models, perhaps too much, as it did not achieve much commercial success at the time. It is a pen with very square and refined lines, with a redesigned arrow-shaped clip with a spring. The three tabs integrated into the steel section also have a spring. The pen is very well designed and clearly was conceived from scratch, rather than as a modification of previous models.
The fountain pen is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear, although it has been filled with ink to test it. The nib in octane writes with a very smooth medium line.
The Parker 105 Flighter is a high-quality pen with a quirky touch. It is a rare pen and highly sought after by collectors, much harder to find than the gold-plated version.
