Montblanc No. 252 fountain pen made in Germany with a black resin body, gold-plated trim, 14K oblique medium nib, piston-filler, 12.5 cm long and 1.4 cm in diameter, from the second half of the 20th century, in good working condition.
Description from the seller
The Montblanc No. 252 is a classic piston-filling fountain pen from the 1950s and one of the characteristic models of Montblanc’s post-war production. It features a rounded black resin body, gold-plated trim, a transparent ink window and the distinctive wing-style gold nib construction used on several Montblanc models of the period. The 252 combines traditional piston-filler engineering with the compact, elegant proportions typical of 1950s Montblanc pens, giving it strong appeal both as a writing instrument and as a representative piece of the brand’s mid-century production.
This example is fitted with a 14K Oblique Medium (OM) gold nib, a less commonly encountered configuration than the usual F or M widths. The piston knob carries the original “OM” marking, corresponding to the nib fitted to the pen. The oblique medium nib gives the pen a more expressive writing character and adds particular interest for collectors.
The pen is in good, pre-owned condition and has been carefully cleaned. Imperfections: light scratches, marks and signs of use, slight plating issues. The cap shows several fine marks, which appear to be scratches, although some may possibly be very fine hairline cracks. The piston operates smoothly, and the pen is ready to use.
