Description from the seller
Beautiful screen print by Cyril Lixenberg in his characteristic geometric abstract form.
Shalom (Cyril) Lixenberg (London, 5 July 1932 - Amsterdam, 10 January 2015) was a British-Dutch sculptor, draughtsman and graphic artist.
The artist Cyril Lixenberg strives for a minimum of means in his work. The shapes he handles are the circle, the triangle and the square. He experiments with them endlessly. The shapes continually change function, meaning and context. This prevents him from ever slipping into repetition. His use of color remains mostly limited to the primary colors: red, yellow and blue. His sculptures also have a graphic character. He manipulates these shapes until a spatial object emerges. Many of Lixenberg's sculptures can be found in the Flevopolder in the Netherlands. They form an unexpected element in the expansive, simple landscape.
We supply this artwork with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The screen print is rolled in an acid-free interleaving sheet and sent by registered mail and insured in a hard cardboard tube. Optionally, our framers (Amsterdam area, NL) can frame this artwork entirely to your wishes, with an impression added to the photos.
