Entirely handmade in Murano, this large pendant is a small glass talisman: an explosion of colors and volumes, shaped by flame layer after layer.
On a base of transparent amber glass stand out four large embossed "eyes", cherry-red disks with a pink-lilac heart, surrounded by a corona of red-orange dots. All around runs a wavy frame of yellow filaments and turquoise arches, while small pigeon-gray dots pepper the background. In transmitted light, the amber glass glows with golden reflections.
The pendant is mounted on a hand-tied black cord and ends with a tassel of three cords, finished with red beads. The necklace is composed of opaque glass beads, the traditional Venetian beads, arranged in color blocks: turquoise, red, olive green, yellow, pigeon-gray, and orange, echoing the tones of the pendant.
The closure is also glass: a lamp-worked glass button, decorated with the same eyes and colors as the pendant, hooks onto an olive-green bead loop. It is a traditional and functional solution that makes the piece beautiful to look at even from the back.
