Description from the seller
A0000006710
Article: SWAN (MABIE TODD) fountain pen with a silver-toned metal coating and wave guilloché, side lever filler.
Length: 12.9 cm.
Diameter: 0.9 cm.
Nib: F.
Period: 1920s.
Materials: Ebonite body and cap with silver-toned metal coating engraved with fine wave guilloché, smooth central band and ball clip; side lever filler; 14-carat gold nib signed "Swan 1 – Mabie Todd & Co Ltd – Made in England", with the brand's classic comb feed.
Condition: Good condition for its age, with signs of use typical of a piece nearly a century old: the coating preserves the crisp guilloché pattern over almost its entire surface, but shows a loss of shine and darkened areas due to patina on the cap, especially around the clip, in addition to small scratches and marks at the ends of the cap and body. Nib intact, with tips aligned and without visible flaws. The watertightness of the filling system has not been tested; the piece is sold as a collectible item.
Accessories: Only the loose piece; no box or papers visible in the photos.
