Alejandro Gonzalez’s original, hand-signed acrylic-on-canvas painting, ABSTRACCIÓN MODULAR 372 - XL, is an abstract architectural work from 2026 measuring 100 × 70 cm.
Description from the seller
Modular Abstraction is a pictorial series that explores the possibilities of geometric language through repetition, rhythm, and the articulation of visual modules. Each work is built as a closed structure yet open to multiple readings, where flat forms and defined outlines compose an autonomous visual system.
Painting is presented here as a surface for inscription, where simple figures — rectangles, triangles, semicircles — are assembled into unique configurations, evoking architectural structures, symbols, fragments of possible alphabets. The compositions do not point to an external reality but are proposed as self-sufficient entities, capable of generating meaning through formal order.
The use of restrained palettes — with one or two accent colors and neutral backgrounds — intensifies the perception of balance and contrast, while fine black lines precisely delimit the planes, reinforcing an aesthetic of restraint and clarity. The absence of textures, gradients, or volumetric effects allows each module to retain its own entity while contributing to an organic whole.
In a world saturated with images and stimuli, Modular Abstraction offers a visual pause: a contemplation of order, of boundary, of the infinite possibility hidden in the minimal. Each work is a system, a unit, a visual score offered as a silent enigma to the viewer.
