Description from the seller
This colorful painting is executed with a strikingly thick, impasto application of paint, applied to the canvas in bold, expressive brushstrokes. The rich texture gives the work exceptional depth and vibrancy, allowing the different shades and textures to stand out beautifully. The scene depicts an atmospheric harbor, with various boats moored on the water. Through a lively and varied use of color, the artist expressively captures the bustle and distinctive character of the harbor scene. The loose, dynamic brushwork and generous application of paint give the whole a spontaneous, painterly quality. The work is signed at the lower right and was created by the artist Mario Passarelli.
