Item: PARKER VACUMATIC FOUNTAIN PEN in pearlescent silver laminated celluloid with horizontal black and silver stripes, arrow clip, and gold-plated trim
Length: 12.7 cm
Diameter: 1.1 cm
Nib: M
Period: 1940s (made in Canada; “Parker Canada” engraved on the nib)
Materials: Barrel and cap in pearlescent silver/black striped, semi-translucent laminated celluloid; 14-karat gold nib inscribed “Parker Canada”; arrow clip, engraved cap band, and gold-plated trim. Vacuum-filling system (Vacumatic), characteristic of the model.
Condition: Very well preserved overall for its age. The celluloid retains its shine and transparency in the striped areas, with no cracks or noticeable losses; the gold plating on the clip and cap band shows slight wear from use, and the band retains its engraving well. The nib is straight and aligned, with no visible bends. Minor signs of use and a light patina consistent with its age are present.
