Description from the seller
A0000006738
Item: CONKLIN FOUNTAIN PEN, marbled jade-green celluloid with black streaks, translucent amber ink window, gold-plated trim, and plunger filling system with a rear knob.
Reference / Edition: Nozac (two-piece barrel with “Word Gauge” scale).
Length: 13.4 cm.
Diameter: 1.2 cm.
Nib: EF.
Period: 1930s (c. 1931–1938).
Materials: Cap and rear half of the barrel in marbled jade-green celluloid with black streaks; front section of the barrel in translucent amber celluloid, serving as an ink window; section and filling knob in black ebonite; gold-plated clip engraved “Conklin” and cap band; gold-colored nib inscribed “Conklin · Toledo · U.S.A.”.
Condition: Well preserved for its age. The celluloid retains its luster and depth of color, with age-appropriate signs of use, and the barrel engraving “The Conklin Pen Co. Toledo, Ohio U.S.A.” remains legible, though softened. The ink window shows the usual amber darkening from contact with ink. The nib appears aligned, with slight wear to the gold plating. The cap and barrel thread together correctly. The filling system has not been tested for leaks; sold as a collector’s item.
Accessories: Pen only; no box or papers are visible in the photos.
