Cigarette case - Silverplated

Rare Antique Cigarette Case with Child Portrait – circa 1900

Beautiful antique cigarette case featuring a decorative portrait miniature of a smiling, strawberry-blond child, probably a young boy, dressed in white.

The portrait makes an appealing focal point on the front. The case has a plain back and a gold-colored interior. The original yellow retaining straps are still present inside.

A charming, perhaps even quirky, collectible with distinctive decorative appeal, probably dating from around 1900 or the early 20th century.
