Marcel Proust - Pen

The Montblanc Marcel Proust Writers Edition was introduced in 1999 as a tribute to the celebrated French novelist Marcel Proust (1871–1922), author of the literary masterpiece À la recherche du temps perdu (In Search of Lost Time).

The design is distinguished by its beautifully engraved octagonal barrel, crafted from 925 sterling silver. Its elaborate decorative pattern reflects the elegance and artistic atmosphere associated with the author's literary period. Marcel Proust's signature is engraved on the silver barrel.

The cap is made of black precious resin and features the iconic Montblanc emblem at the top, together with sterling silver details. The curved clip is engraved with the Montblanc name.

The fountain pen is fitted with a two-tone 18K gold nib featuring a finely engraved hourglass motif, symbolising the passage of time, one of the central themes of Proust's literary work.

This particular example bears the individual limited-edition number 10684/21000. The production was restricted to 21,000 fountain pens worldwide.
