Description from the seller
Fabio Costantino – "The Village Between Flowers and Blue"
A group of houses emerges from an atmosphere dominated by blues and deep blues, composing a gathered and evocative view. The architectures are built through broad brushstrokes and juxtaposed color planes: white façades, yellow and red walls, terracotta roof tiles and dark openings intertwine in a compact urban fabric. On the left, the silhouette of a dome stands out against the background, introducing a monumental element into the intimate dimension of the village.
In the center and foreground, lush vegetation explodes in luminous greens and pink, crimson, and fuchsia blossoms. These vivid touches create a counterpoint to the cool tones that envelop the scene. The shapes become freer toward the lower margins, where broad light-toned washes and blues suggest reflections and dissolutions. In the 40 × 30 cm format, the painting renders a place filtered through the color’s sensitivity, balancing recognizability of the landscape with the freedom of painterly gesture.
