Description from the seller
In this section we present the most imposing and authoritative expression of the classic line par excellence from the Hamburg maison: the Montblanc Meisterstück LeGrand Ballpoint Pen (Model 161) Gold Line.
Unlike the more widespread Classique (164) model, the LeGrand (161) variant asserts itself with a clearly larger diameter and mass, guaranteeing a high-visibility stage presence and a formidable grip, particularly appreciated by those who prefer desk‑type instruments with substantial weight and size. The cigar-shaped body is forged in traditional deep black precious resin, mirror-polished to create a sophisticated and warm contrast with the bright finishes plated in yellow gold. We find the unmistakable teardrop clip, the three concentric institutional rings (with the inscription "MONTBLANC - MEISTERSTÜCK" on the central band) and the famous white star inlaid on the summit.
Technically, it is a solid Ballpoint Pen. The tip release is governed by the reliable and fluid continuous-rotation twist mechanism. As documented by the photographs showing the instrument disassembled, the pen uses the classic and smooth Montblanc standard ballpoint refills.
Regarding the condition, the item is generally in good overall condition, but there is an evident personalization. As clearly shown in the detail shot, the initials in cursive "C.A." have been engraved on the resin cap side.
Aside from this customization, the precious resin maintains excellent overall brilliance and shows no cracks or structural chips, displaying only the physiological micro-scratches (hairlines) from normal use. The yellow gold plating is well preserved, shiny and free of oxidation.
