Special British Signal lamp with signal key and chest.
Was used by soldiers to posts with flashes of light by signals.
By this development one could also at night and in fog still signals by signals, there that at the beginning of the war only with flags was done.
Created at and as such the lamp; "Daylight Signalling Lamp Electric Mark II, 1918 made by Arthur Lyon & Wrench Ltd".
The fog lamp the lighting inside, but the mirror is present.
The box is equipped with a number "63850" and a stamp of the "War Department" in the shape of an arrow. /|\ .. either the "Broad Arrow".
The box has two compartments, one empty and the other hears the lamp in.
On this last is also the key fitted, that manufacturer is stamped "AL & W Ltd" (= Arthur Lyon & Wrench Ltd), and also dated "1918".
The total size of the box is 24.5 x 24 x 15 cm.
The set is so not entirely complete, but the most important pieces are provided and few have survived this war!
