Here's a specimen of the rare nickel-cobalt arsenide mineral skutterudite, with sharply formed crystals. The crystals are a bright, shiny silver color, highly lustrous, very sharp, in geometric cube-octahedrons which are formed in a fine, three-dimensional mound. On this piece, which comes from Bou Azzer, Morocco, the crystal faces are highly reflective, resulting in flashing mirror-like hot spots of light.
