Obverse: ALFONSO XII-POR LA G. DE DIOS 1880/80 (between six-point stars). Head right. On the edge of the neck: G. S (Gregorio Sellán). Dotted rim.

Reverse: REY CONSTL-DE ESPAÑA D. E 25 PESETAS. M. Crowned shield surrounded by the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece and mantled with the royal cloak with the arms of Castilla, León, Aragon, Navarre and Granada in point; in the centre, the shield of Bourbon. Dotted rim.

Mint: MADRID weight: 8 g. Size: 24 mm.

Assayer: MS M: Mauricio Morejón Bueno, Pablo Salas Gabarrell and Ángel Mendoza Ordoñez.

Gold. 900/1,000 grade. Edge engraved with 27 fleurs de lis.
