Gabriele Yon (1835-1894) was a French aeronautical inventor, he filed patents related to air navigation and stability, the name of Yon is also associated with a 4 or 6 leg anchor style.
The present volume "Note sur la Direction des Aérostats", presents 35 pages of text (some with annotations), 15 lithographic tipped-in plates with drawings and technical diagrams (Imp. Marchadier r. de Lafajette Paris) and a beautiful lithographic plate representing an airship, signed J. Hugot.
In this book the author explains how to navigate the air with an airship of his own invention that can reach speeds between 40 and 60 kilometres per hour in calm winds.
