Series BR 232 of the Deutsche Bahn AG, Co'Co' axle configuration. Built from 1974 in the USSR for the German Reichsbahn, nicknamed "Ludmilla". Starting from 1992 they were rebuilt at AW Cottbus for passenger traffic for speeds up to 140 km/h. Used also for heavy freight trains.
