Published in Venice by Aldo the Younger in 1583, the 1st edition is from 1581, in 12th, 2 parts in one volume. Allegorical title pages enclosed within an architectural frame with a small aldine anchor, 21 vignettes in the text, headboards, large drop caps and lanterns, all engraved on wood, coeval binding in full parchment with titles on the spine. The condition of the book is visible in the photos: missing in the exlibris book on the front cover (with no corner), two damages on the title page. Excellent interior.
