Very beautiful set linked to the imperial eagle from this series of 5 titles published by the historian Henry Houssaye (1848-1911) relating to the history of Napoleon Bonaparte from Jena and the Campaign of 1806 until the "white terror" .
Binding in marbled half-calf, spine with 4 Greek-decorated nerves, imperial eagle on the spine, gilded head, covers preserved. In cardboard box. - Bindings in very good condition, case blunt at the corners (tears). Fresh interiors, very rare rednesses.
Book illustrated with two portraits of the author in frontispiece and 6 maps filled in at the end of the volumes.
An interesting copy because each volume is generally sold separately. Nice series in uniform binding, with the imperial eagle.
