EXPOSICIONES: Casa del Cordón (Vitoria) 1983, Sala Olenca (Valladolid) 1985, La Latina (Valladolid) 1986, BBV Torrelavega (Cantabria) 1987, M.R. Arroyo es pintor autodidacta. A principios de los años noventa viaja a Berlín y Augsburgo (Alemania). También va a Nápoles (Italia) donde exponen en el Ayuntamiento de Torre Anunciata.
A su regreso, realizó una exposición en Augburg en la Kunsthalle, donde conoció a su representante y amigo Herbert Schweizer, con quien trabajó hasta su muerte en 1998. Entre 1992 y 1998, sus obras fueron vendidas por Herbert a coleccionistas en los Estados Unidos, Alemania, Inglaterra, Italia, Holanda, Suiza, Luxemburgo, Bélgica, Mozambique. En 1999 se toma un descanso dedicándose al negocio familiar.

En 2007 decide volver a pintar y se instala en el campo cartagenero. En 2014 se traslada a Bullas (Murcia) donde, además de pintar, comienza con un proyecto artesanal colaborando con el gremio del pueblo (El Zacatin).
