Deze prachtige set bevat handgeschilderde schaakstukken die de beroemde Karel de Grote voorstellen, met andere personages uit dezelfde tijd. Karel de Grote leefde van ca 747 tot 844 en was een van de grootste en populairste heersers die West-Europa gekend heeft. 

De stukken zijn geproduceerd door Anri. De houtsnijwerkfirma Anri is al sinds 1912 beroemd om de kwalitatief hoogwaardige producten. De firma is gevestigd in Val Gardena, Italië. Deze stukken maken onderdeel uit van de Toriart Collectie. Het materiaal van de stukken is een door Anri uitgevonden mix van houtsnippers en giethars. Deze set werd geproduceerd in Italië tussen 1968 en 1980.

Zoals te zien op de vele detailfoto's bevinden de stukken zich in een zeer goede conditie. De schaakstukken kunnen veilig worden opgeborgen in de bijgevoegde koffer.

De koningshoogte is 9cm en het totale gewicht is zo’n 1,5 kg. Het geheel zal zeer goed verpakt en aangetekend worden verzonden.
