Catherine I (15 April [OS 5 April] 1684 – 17 May [OS 6 May] 1727), the second wife of Peter I of Russia, reigned as Empress of Russia from 1725 until her death.

Successing the Peter I coin, this 2oz silver coin in proof quality is individually numbered (the number matches the Certificate of Authenticity) and comes in a wooden presentation case that is made from parts of real Karelian Birch.
