Les statues Nok sont célèbres pour être parmi les plus anciennes sculptures en terre cuite d'Afrique subsaharienne. Elles représentent généralement des figures humaines, souvent avec des traits stylisés, une tête relativement grande par rapport au corps et des éléments distinctifs tels que des coiffures élaborées et des ornements.

Ces statues étaient fabriquées en utilisant des techniques de modelage à la main et de cuisson au feu, ce qui en fait un exploit technique impressionnant compte tenu de la période historique à laquelle elles ont été créées.

Les statues Nok ont été découvertes dans la région de Jos, au Nigeria, et sont considérées comme des artefacts culturels très importants.
