“What a beautiful beast this Sony PS-230 turntable is. The resilient chassis is mounted in a sturdy wooden plinth, finished with a polycarbonate dust cover with a “smoked” finish. It is all in very good cosmetic condition.

It uses pinion drive technology (a large pinion driven by a powerful 4-pole motor), has a tonearm lift and is semi-automatic in operation, lifting the arm, returning it to rest and switching off at the end of a plate . Two speeds, 33 rpm and 45 rpm, suitable for all modern records. A USA 45 adapter is included.
