De Jaguar XJS Convertible 5.3L V12 is niet zomaar een auto; het is een tijdloos icoon dat de elegantie en prestaties van Jaguar belichaamt. De Jaguar XJS, geïntroduceerd in 1975, werd geboren als de opvolger van de iconische Jaguar E-Type. Hoewel het misschien moeilijk was om de E-Type te evenaren, slaagde de XJS erin om een nieuwe standaard te vestigen voor luxe GT-auto's. De opvallende vormgeving, de krachtige prestaties en het luxueuze interieur maakten de XJS tot een onmiddellijk succes en een favoriet onder autoliefhebbers over de hele wereld.

De Jaguar XJS Convertible 5.3L V12 uit 1989 die we aanbieden, bevindt zich nog steeds in zijn originele staat, wat het een waardevol stukje erfgoed maakt. Deze auto staat in zijn oorspronkelijke kleurcode: AGA Satin Beige Metallic - lak. Hoewel de lak enigszins is aangetast door de tand des tijds, herinnert hij ons aan de elegantie en stijl die Jaguar beroemd hebben gemaakt. Enkele deuken en gebruikerssporen zijn getuigen van het verleden van de auto, maar met een nieuwe laklaag in de originele kleur, kan hij weer in volle glorie schitteren. 

Verder is het originele interieur nog steeds in de auto aanwezig. Het dashboard verkeert nog in een nette staat, maar de stoelen moeten opnieuw bekleed worden . Daarnaast heeft het houtfineer op de middenconsole heeft losgelaten.

Onder de motorkap van de XJS Convertible ligt de legendarische 5.3 liter V12-motor. Deze krachtbron staat bekend om zijn soepele vermogen en prestaties. Het beste van alles is dat deze motor 'matching numbers' heeft. Momenteel start de motor niet en loopt hij niet. De Jaguar zal dus eerst technisch aangepakt dienen te worden voordat hier mee gereden kan worden.

Verder wordt deze Jaguar aangeboden met een Clean Carfax-rapport en de originele onderhoudsboekjes die de historie van de auto bevestigen. Het Clean Carfax-rapport bevestigd dat de auto vrij is van ernstige ongelukken of schade in het verleden. Het rapport (en de onderhoudsboekjes) bevestigen ook de lage mijlenstand van de auto en toont aan dat de auto de laatste ca. 15-20 jaar niet is gebruikt. De registratie van de auto is voor het laatst vernieuwd in 2003, wat betekent dat deze auto al geruime tijd inactief is.
