Originale scultura a bassorilievo in legno di noce intagliata a mano.
Si tratta di una stupenda e originale cimasa in legno massello, con pregevole intaglio, e riccamente scolpita. Composta da un satiro centrale in atteggiamento burlesco e due grifoni laterali con lunghe code terminanti a volute fogliacee e motivi floreali a foglie d'acanto.
Epoca presumibile (metà) secolo XIX. 
In origine probabilmente utilizzata per arricchire una cornice o una specchiera o altro mobile.
Calda e antica patina scura. 
Ottima conservazione e buona condizione generale.

Per restauratori e arredatori, architetti e designer, antiquari e collezionisti.
Bell'oggetto decorativo, artistico, da collezione.

La cimasa è un componente particolare inserito in ebanistica quale elemento di composizione centrale, con funzione decorativa di balconi, mensole, capitelli, cornici, spechiuere ecc.. La cimasa fin dal XV secolo, fu largamente impiegata anche nella decorazione di mobili con finalità ornamentali in tutta Europa.
