Best known for his paintings of modernist buildings like the UN, Lever House, and the Seagram building, Perez captures the utopian ambitions and optimism that inspired their construction. According to Perez, "Paintings are my movie stars." With his Normandie prints, he draws on personal history to depict the hotel where he first met his wife - a dual purpose love letter to both a significant woman and an architectural landmark.

Enoc Perez‘s (b.1967, San Juan) is best known for his paintings of modernist buildings that capture the utopian ambitions and optimism that inspired their construction. Embracing art’s potential for pleasure and beauty, Perez paints sensuous nudes, still lifes, tropical resorts, and modern architectural icons in a sleek aesthetic with dazzling, vibrant colors. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s silkscreens of the New York art scene, Perez developed his own printmaking method that mimics the process of color printing. Perez’s work can be found in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art (New York), the British Museum, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He has had solo exhibitions at the Corcoran (Washington, D.C.) and Acquavella (New York), as well as been included in group shows at MANA contemporary (Jersey City, NJ), Galerie Frank Fluegel(Nuremberg), and Octavia Art Gallery (New Orleans).
