Appleton 1994 Hearts Collection is the result of a long process led by two rum geniuses. On the one hand, Joy Spence, Appleton's master blender at the head of over 200,000 casks. On the other, Luca Gargano, head of Velier and chief agitator of the rum world. Selecting Appleton 100% pot still rums was a dream for Luca. It took a great deal of perseverance to convince the Jamaican distillery.

This is the first time that Appleton has given us the opportunity to taste rums made from a single ‘mark’, unlike its usual range which is based on blends. This rum, distilled from a single iron still, is one of the colours in Joy Spence's palette of rums. Distilled in 1994, it was bottled in 2020 after 26 years of tropical ageing, which is truly exceptional.
