Cyprane Ltd (d'après cyclopropane). Cette société anglaise, fondée par William Edmondson et Wilfred Jones (tous deux ex-Coxeter), avait déjà produit le premier vaporisateur à compensation de température (pour Trilene). Le Fluotec Mark I a été développé à la demande des Drs Johnstone et Brennan de Manchester, qui souhaitaient obtenir des concentrations précises suite à plusieurs catastrophes mondiales où des vaporisateurs existants avaient été utilisés. M. Fraser Sweatman (Royaume-Uni) a conçu le vaporisateur Fluotec à compensation de température. Ce vaporisateur avait été précédé aux États-Unis par le vaporisateur FNS (sans compensation de température) conçu en 1956 par l'ingénieur M. George Newton. Plus tard, tous les vaporisateurs Mark I ont été rappelés pour résoudre un problème de valve collante, puis commercialisés sous le nom de vaporisateurs Mark II ,etat bon livraison rapide et sécurisée.
