This is some very old Westvleteren 12, the expiry date is May 18, 2007, which means it was bottled in 2004.
This makes this beer 21 years old.  It has been continuously stored in a cellar, meaning the temperature changes were minimal.  
Make no mistake: this is a buy for experienced beer lovers only.  The beer has evolved to a port/sherry-like flavour.  Only a few beers can withstand ageing, and WV12 surely is one of them.
