Dit statig beeldje van het Heilig Hart van Jezus is vervaardigd uit gegoten gips met een monochrome crèmekleurige afwerking. 

Christus wijst met beide handen naar het verheven en omstraalde Heilig Hart op zijn borst – hét symbool van zijn liefde, barmhartigheid en offer voor de mensheid. Het beeld is uitgevoerd met veel oog voor detail in de plooien van het kleed, het gelaat en de houding. De voeten van Jezus rusten op een ronde sokkel, wat het beeld een evenwichtig voorkomen geeft. 

De verering van het Heilig Hart gaat terug tot de 13e eeuw en vindt zijn oorsprong waarschijnlijk in het Johannes-evangelie, waar een lans de zijde van de gekruisigde Christus doorboort. Dit beeldje is een prachtig voorbeeld van deze eeuwenoude devotie.

Dit beeldje is in goede staat. Her en der zijn kleine ouderdomssporen zichtbaar, zoals enkele verfverliespuntjes en een tikje aan de neus, passend bij de leeftijd. Vermoedelijk vervaardigd in de eerste helft van de 20ste eeuw, en later overschilderd in wit.
