Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009 is a radiant expression of the 2009 harvest, characterized by its richness and maturity.  Crafted from a blend of 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay, with approximately 13% of the Pinot Noir vinified as red wine, this champagne showcases the depth and complexity of its components.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: A deep, orange-tinged pink hue, reflecting its intensity and maturity. 

Nose: The bouquet opens with fleeting aromas of rose, orange oil, and saffron, evolving into warmer notes dominated by red fruits—raspberry and cherry—accompanied by darker touches of cassis and fig.  Hints of gingerbread and liquorice add complexity.

Palate: On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and generous, with fine tannins that frame the wine beautifully.  Flavors of sweet red cherry, blood orange, spice, and pomegranate build in a creamy, sensual texture.  The finish is long and fresh, with minerally smoke and oyster shell accents.


Critical Acclaim:

Vinous (Antonio Galloni): 98 points – "Sweet red cherry, blood orange, spice, and pomegranate all build in a creamy, sensual DP Rosé that hits all the right spots." 

James Suckling: 97 points – "Peaches, fresh crushed strawberries, and roses on the nose. Full-bodied and generous. Fine tannins that frame the wine beautifully and set it up for a fresh finish." 

Wine Spectator: 96 points – "A lovely rosé Champagne that waltzes gracefully across the palate, belying the concentrated range of macerated raspberry and strawberry, candied blood orange peel, toast, and saffron notes carried on the elegant, satiny mousse."
