Zeer zeldzame carbidlamp van het merk Powell & Hammer, geproduceerd in Engeland aan het begin van de 20e eeuw. Powell & Hammer was een gerespecteerde fabrikant van messingwaren en verlichtingstoepassingen in Birmingham, en hun carbidlampen behoren vandaag tot de meer gezochte stukken onder verzamelaars.

Deze lamp werkte op acetyleengas, opgewekt door een gecontroleerde reactie van water en carbid, en werd gebruikt in de mijnbouw, bij fietsen of als mobiele lichtbron voor industriële toepassingen.

Hoogte: 19,5 cm.

Zeer nette staat voor een object van deze leeftijd. Originele onderdelen aanwezig, geen zichtbare breuken of missende delen. Mooie natuurlijke patina, met lichte sporen van gebruik. Niet getest op werking.
