Een zeldzaam tweezitsbankje van Artifort, ontworpen door Theo Ruth. 

Theo Ruth werd in 1915 in Nederland geboren. Hij studeerde aan de Kunstacademie in Maastricht, waar hij al snel een passie voor design ontwikkelde. In 1936 trad de jonge ontwerper in dienst bij Artifort en specialiseerde zich in het ontwerpen van woonkamermeubels. Zijn talent werd beloond met zijn benoeming tot Design Director in 1939. Hij bekleedde deze functie tot aan zijn dood in 1971. 

Deze bank kreeg het modelnummer 162 en het ontwerp stamt uit 1958. En nog een zeldzaamheid: de bank heeft nog de originele stof, uitgevoerd in een lichte crèmekleur. De bank verkeert in goede staat met wat verkleuring in de stof.
