The EA 216 is the lounge chair in the Soft Pad Group by Charles and Ray Eames.  Their dignified aura makes these chairs especially suited for management areas. The extraordinary comfort of the chairs results from the combined effect of their swivel mechanism and the soft fabric- or leather-covered upholstery.  

The backside has leather upholstery, which I is an expensive optional feature with the alu series..

These chairs were custom ordered for the Vitra boardroom, where they served from 2015 until recently. They were used sparingly and very carefully, the chairs still look immaculate. They are executed in a very distinguished combination of polished aluminum and butter soft Premium Sand leather. Marked with Vitra label.

This EA 216 model is no longer in production.
