Outre son design exceptionnel la Luxman PD-264 sonne à merveille.
Le PD-264 est un lecteur vinyle utilisant un système d'entraînement direct par servomoteur CC sans balais avec levage automatique en fin de lecture.

L'innovation concerne le plateau à inertie élevée grâce auquel la grande masse du poids est répartie autour du contour extérieur, réalisant ainsi d'excellentes caractéristiques de Wow & Flutter et une rotation parfaitement stable.

Le bras de lecture droit élimine la résonance. Sa base est dotée d'une structure à double tube pour renforcer les mesures anti-résonance. Le réceptacle pivotant adopte une structure en lame de couteau, garantissant une grande stabilité de fonctionnement. Le corps de la cellule est intégré au bras de lecture, réduisant ainsi la résonance au minimum.

Des LED sont utilisées pour l'éclairage stroboscopique, ce qui permet d'obtenir un effet net grâce à une alimentation redressée. Le réglage précis de la rotation est ainsi facilité.
