This rare and elegant Tense floor-to-ceiling lamp was designed by renowned Dutch-Italian designer René Kemna for Più Luce / Sirrah in the 1980s, a hallmark of minimalist Italian design.

Crafted from lightweight yet sturdy aluminium and fibreglass, the lamp features a unique tension system that secures it firmly between the floor and ceiling without permanent fixtures. This ingenious mechanism allows the lamp to adapt to ceiling heights ranging from approximately 205 cm up to over 300 cm, making it versatile for a wide range of interior spaces.

The sleek structure is finished in matte black and grey, combining industrial aesthetics with refined elegance. The lamp directs soft, indirect light upwards, creating a warm and atmospheric ambiance. The adjustable lamp head adds further control over the light’s direction.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age, including light scratches and surface marks. Fully functional with the original European plug (up to 250V).

Age: Designed and produced during the 1980s (circa 1980–1989).
