This terrific original production drawing features Merryweather, one of the beloved Three Good Fairies from Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959). These beautifully detailed, full-body drawing showcase the fairy, capturing their whimsical charm and expressive personality. As protectors of Princess Aurora, the Three Good Fairies use their magic to counter Maleficent's dark forces, ensuring Aurora's safety from the moment of her birth. Sleeping Beauty was Walt Disney's 16th animated feature and the first to be shot in Super Technirama 70, a groundbreaking widescreen format that enhanced the film's stunning visuals. The fairies were brought to life by Disney voice talents Verna Felton (Flora), Barbara Jo Allen (Fauna), and Barbara Luddy (Merryweather). Two of "Walt's Nine Old Men", Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas, were responsible for animating these iconic characters. Both were later honored as Disney Legends in 1989. Illustrated in graphite on 16-field animation paper.

This stunning drawing is in Very Good condition, with age-related toning and edge wear from production use. A rare and significant piece for Disney animation collectors!
