Up for auction is a nice old full size italian violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Gaetano Antoniazzi fece Milano 1890. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance.
The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 362 mm. The total length of the violin is 597 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 170 mm; middle bouts: 116 mm; lower bouts: 210 mm. Full size. High grained spruce top, golden brown varnish with some tears and wears. This violin is in a good used condition, with some old repaired cracks included repaired sound post crack on back, good rosewood and ebony set up and new strings. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. The sound is very powerful, deep, mellow and rich.
