Breitling Chronomat Grey Rare Referance 
Reference: 81950A

Watch Signature
The Breitling Chronomat 81950 was launched in 1984 with Frecce Tricolori and marked the brand’s return to mechanical watches and the rebirth of the Chronomat line. The “A” in the 81950A refers to the stainless steel version, clearly used in early production to distinguish case materials (e.g., 81950A – steel, 81950B – two-tone). This visible coding later evolved into more complex reference numbers, like A13050, where the letter was embedded.

With its place in Breitling’s history and as an example of early reference coding, the 81950A is a standout model for collectors.
