Franck Muller introduced the Conquistador line as a sportier, more modern interpretation of his iconic "Cintrée Curvex" shapes. The Cortez collection appeared in the early 2000s and featured a square case with monumental proportions—meant to symbolize strength, courage, and "conqueror" (hence the name Conquistador).

This model combines avant-garde design, large numerals, and a massive case with Muller's signature watchmaking craftsmanship. Thanks to its contrasting black and red, it has become one of the most recognizable variants in the series, aimed at those seeking something striking, unusual, and highly eye-catching.
