Antique Edwardian Cut Glass Jewelry Box, Trinket Box, Vanity Box – Silver Plated Lid – EPNS – Registered Design No. 551793 – Early 1900s

Beautiful antique jewelry box / trinket box / vanity box with a finely cut glass body and raised feet, topped with an ornate EPNS silver plated lid. The rectangular lid is richly decorated with embossed bows, garlands and floral motifs, a typical design of the Edwardian period. 

Marked EPNS (Electro Plated Nickel Silver) and Registered Design No. 551793, which dates this design to the early 20th century (c.1909, United Kingdom).

Originally used on the dressing table to store rings, earrings, cufflinks, hairpins or small cosmetics, this piece now makes a wonderful collector’s item or decorative accent for lovers of antique boxes, vanity ware, silver plate and cut glass.
