Ancient Egyptian Alabaster vase (No reserve price)

A fine ancient Egyptian Alabaster Ovoid Jar , ca. Old Kingdom, 2649-2150 B.C..Height 67 mm. Intact! The vessel features a rounded, slightly bulbous body that subtly tapers toward the base. A short, cylindrical neck rises to a gently flared rim with a simple, slightly everted lip. Likely shaped using a bow drill or other early rotary tools, this piece reflects the high level of craftsmanship achieved by ancient artisans working with hard stone. Alabaster was a prized material across many ancient cultures, admired for its soft translucency and the ethereal glow it emits when backlit. Civilizations from Mesopotamia to Egypt and the wider Mediterranean region used alabaster to craft elite vessels, often associated with ritual, luxury, or funerary contexts. Provenance: Old Belgium collection from the 90's. Gallery V.D.K Brussels, Belgium. Will be shipped registered and insured. I combine shipping. I only ship in EU. When you bid make sure you have a shipping adress in EU. The supplier warrants that they obtained this lot in a legal manner. The seller guarantees that they are entitled to sell/export this lot. The seller will take care that any necessary permits, like an export license, will be arranged. The seller will inform the buyer about the status of the permits if this takes more than a few days.
