Maske Grebo- Kru.
Die ethnische Gruppe der Grebo lebt an der Küste Liberias, westlich des Cavally River. Wie die mit ihnen verwandten Bété entkommen sie der Poro-Vereinigung, die das gesamte politische und religiöse Leben im größten Teil Westafrikas bestimmt.

Das traditionelle künstlerische Korpus der Grebo besteht aus Masken, die die Geister der unsichtbaren Welt verkörpern, die im Wald leben. Diese von hochrangigen Eingeweihten geformten afrikanischen Masken erschienen bei Ritualen, die Eingeweihten vorbehalten waren, und bei Festen, bei denen die gesamte Bevölkerung sie sehen konnte.
