Vintage kristalmodel van keukenzout of natriumchloride (NaCl) – Oost-Europees, jaren '60/'70

Didactisch model van een kristalrooster, gebruikt in chemisch en fysisch onderwijs om de opbouw van een zoutkristal te visualiseren.

De structuur is een ruimtelijke voorstelling van een natriumchloridekristal (NaCl), opgebouwd volgens een kubisch vlakgecentreerd rooster (FCC). De zilverkleurige bollen stellen de chloride-ionen voor (Cl), de groene bollen de natrium-ionen (Na). De onderlinge verbindingen zijn weergegeven met metaaldraad, en een deel van het model is voorzien van gele staven die de eenheids-cel afbakenen – de kleinste herhaalbare eenheid in de kristalstructuur.

Zeer decoratief in deze omvang en staat.

Afmetingen: 24 cm³

Oost-Europese herkomst, vermoedelijk uit een onderwijs- of laboratoriumcontext rond de jaren 60 of 70.

Algemeen in goede staat met normale sporen van ouderdom en lichte oxidatie op de metaaldraad, wat de authenticiteit benadrukt.
